Specifically, various articles (on the Political Tribune and Shero Newsletter) raised the possibility that Donald Trump owned stock in Thermo-Fisher Scientific at a time when his administration was advocating for a Coronavirus test that uses Thermo-Fisher equipment. It is true that the CDC test uses equipment manufactured by Thermo-Fisher Scientific, but Donald Trump has not owned stock in Thermo-Fisher since 2017, as evidenced in his financial disclosures for [2018] and [2019]. Trump did own between $50,000 and $100,000 worth of Thermo-Fisher stock in [2016].
