The Health Alliance was formed by The Christ Hospital and University Hospital in January 1995. Six months later, St. Luke Hospitals (East and West campuses) joined, followed by the Jewish Hospitals (Kenwood and Burnet campuses) in January 1996. Together they operate under a joint operating agreement, meaning that although the four hospitals have not merged, they have ceded control to a joint operating company.
The Alliance covers the entire Greater Cincinnati area-from Warren County, Ohio to Grant County, Kentucky.
